Florida Pro Takes Down $5,000 Single Day for $124,525
Filipp Kavin had barely slept when he landed in Las Vegas. He had flown in from Florida to play the $5,000 Single Day at the 2026 PokerGO Cup, and fatigue was not going to be a factor.
Kavin defeated Jesse Lonis heads-up, having struck an ICM deal at the start of the duel, to claim his first PGT title and a career-best score of $124,525. The win adds to his $2.5 million in live earnings.
Lonis, one of the sharpest players in the high-stakes PokerGO field, took home $105,800 under the negotiated chop.
Final Table Recap
The event drew 111 entries and built a $555,000 prize pool. PokerGO regulars Sean Winter and owner Cary Katz were in the field, and longtime pro Tony Gregg made his PokerGO Studio debut.
Pro racing driver Drake Kemper fell in third for $63,825. Mixed game author Dylan Linde exited in seventh for $22,200. Recent WPT Venetian Spring Poker Championship winner Nicholas Seward finished sixth for $27,750, while David Kim ($49,950) and Jon-Michael Gisler ($36,075) cashed in fourth and fifth.
