Ben Tollerene Wins Triton Jeju $100K Main Event for $3,766,000; Foxen Banks Career-Best Score

Ben Tollerene captured his fourth Triton title and second Triton Main Event crown on Thursday, winning the $100,000 NLH Main Event at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju for $3,766,000.

The Fort Worth native entered the final table as chip leader and closed out Philip Sternheimer heads-up to join Jason Koon as the only two-time Triton Main Event winners. Tollerene now has more than $36 million in live tournament earnings.

Kristen Foxen finished fourth for $1,449,000, a career-best payday that extended her record as the all-time female money leader on the Triton circuit.

Ten-Deuce Finishes It

Tollerene closed out the match the way Doyle Brunson won the 1976 and 1977 WSOP Main Events: with ten-deuce.

Tollerene completed from the small blind with 10♥ 2♥. Sternheimer checked his K♦ 7♥. The flop came 2♦ A♦ 10♠, giving Tollerene two pair.

Sternheimer check-called on the turn 6♦, picking up a nut-flush draw. The river 2♠ filled Tollerene's full house. He bet 5.5 million into 6.5 million, and Sternheimer moved in for his remaining 12 million as a bluff. Tollerene called.

"I'm obviously very pleased," Tollerene said after the win. "I had no cashes going into today on this trip so I was feeling not so great about how everything was going. And then everything aligned today and yesterday and I somehow did it again."

On playing against the world's best, he said: "These are the biggest tournaments in the world. Having all the best players in the world here kind of lifts me up. I want to show them I'm on that level and that I can compete against them. That motivates me."

Foxen Sets Career Mark

Foxen's fourth-place finish was the largest payday of her career and extended her lead as the all-time female money earner on the Triton circuit. She has now cashed sixteen times on the tour.

With nine players remaining, Foxen folded pocket kings preflop in a difficult ICM spot. She entered the day sixth in chips and finished fourth.

The $1,449,000 score is also her second seven-figure result in Jeju, following a $1,104,000 win in the $125K NLH 7-Handed last September.
