Matias Guimarães won the SiGMA Poker Tour Brazil Main Event on April 6, earning BRL 205,000. Following the conclusion of the Brazil stop, organizers announced the tour will proceed to Malta for its next stop.
The five-day festival will run from May 27 to 31, 2026, at Portomaso Casino in St Julian’s. The €250 buy-in Malta Main Event features a €150,000 guaranteed prize pool. Tour ambassadors John Arne Riise, Drea Karlsen, and Lucas Robinson will attend the series.
Portomaso Casino previously hosted the SPT in September 2025. The venue requires international players to be at least 18 and Maltese citizens to be 25, with valid identification mandatory for entry.
The recently concluded Brazil Main Event carried a BRL 1,000,000 guarantee. Organizers adjusted the buy-in to BRL 2,000 on the opening starting flight, drawing 134 entries, including 34 re-entries. Fifteen players advanced to Day 2.
The Brazil schedule also included the SiGMA Divas event. Daniela Candido Prestes navigated an 82-entry field to win BRL 7,000 and a seat in the upcoming SPT Mexico stop.
