L.A. Newcomer Tops 413-Player Field for First Circuit Ring
BALTIMORE, Md. — Christopher "Eric" Selami walked out of Baltimore a champion. The Los Angeles-based player outlasted a 413-entry field in the $1,700 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Main Event at Horseshoe Baltimore, banking $128,100 and his first WSOP Circuit ring.
For Selami, the payday is in a different stratosphere than anything he has previously cashed for. According to The Hendon Mob, his best prior result sat just under $8,000. This score clears that mark by more than 16 times over.
Manh Nguyen finished as runner-up, earning $84,380. Jose Cayetano took third for $56,904.
The Main Event wrapped up an 18-ring WSOP Circuit stop at the Maryland property.
